Hathor: Goddess, Party Girl

Based on the Egyptian goddess Hathor (and also a recent Miss Egypt so she didn't look exactly like me, but all free-hand). Hathor is generally a goddess of sky, love, mirth, and beauty, but also dabbles in drunkeness, violent vengeance, and childbirth. For a general description, [link]

Basically she's a party-girl and overly protective of Ra, her father/son/consort--yay kooky Egyptian relationships.

In the modern world, she's still highly involved in beauty and therefore fashion, with side projects of charities for children and protecting the environment (and other nature gods) all over the world. More importantly, the Maidens of Ra are still in force to curb her excesses, serve her, and prevent her from morphing into Sekhmut and destroying the human race [link] (That is probably my favorite Hathor story because it's so seemingly out of character.)

Generally, she's on the side of women and children, but godhood comes first, and she will fight with the other sky gods against humanity if Ra (or the equivalent) is challenged.

Any born to magic can recognize her aura: the sun and horns, accompanied by various signs of her aspects.
